Join Oakvillegreen as a Youth Steward and help protect and restore natural spaces
across Oakville. Volunteers participate in hands-on environmental events throughout
the year and build real skills while making a visible difference in their community.
What you'll do
- Plant trees and remove invasive species
- Restore creek habitats and pollinator gardens
- Support community stewardship events and nature walks
- Learn from environmental professionals at skill-building workshops
Program details
- Ages 13–18
- Participants under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Ages 13–17 require a signed parental waiver
- Complete a minimum of 5 stewardship events to receive a certificate of completion and volunteer hours summary
- Certificates can be requested after 3 events
- Events run September through August — choose dates that work for you through the online calendar
